Dar Bjorn in Żebbuġ by X,Y,Z Architecture & Design received a special commendation in the Commercial and Public Buildings Award at the 2023 Masp awards organised by the Planning Authority.

Jury Citation- ‘’Dar Bjorn was commissioned to cater for patients suffering from neuro-degenerative diseases, leaving one with limited mobility to venture into the world outside. What made this project highly commendable was not only the user-centric approach but also the interior quality of the building, with the provision of natural light being at fore. Dar Bjorn managed to create a spiritual sense of public spaces and a homely feeling, through careful detailing, encouraging interaction, purity in form and materials, with an uplifting feeling in a calming yet fully functional environment.’’
